Genoa, the announced tragedy

On Saturday 18 of August took place the state funeral of the more than 40 victims of the collapse of the Morandi Bridge in Genoa. The whole city got close to the relatives of the victims. The ceremony was attended by, among others, the Head of State Sergio Mattarella, the premier Conte and the deputy premier Salvini and Di Maio.

On Saturday 18 of August took place the state funeral of the more than 40 victims of the collapse of the Morandi Bridge in Genoa. The whole city got close to the relatives of the victims. The ceremony was attended by, among others, the Head of State Sergio Mattarella, the premier Conte and the deputy premier Salvini and Di Maio.


And while the Premier Giuseppe Conte announced on 17 August that he formally forwarded to the "Autostrade per l'Italia" the letter to initiate the procedure for revoking the concession to the company, an inquiry by L'Espresso publishes a report in which shows that in February the technicians had already warned the Ministry of Transport and the Autostrade society of the technical problems of the Morandi bridge.
