Hate crimes rise across US

Eleven worshipers have been shot dead at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh during the Saturday morning service, one of the deadliest attacks ever on the Jewish community in U-S history.


The gunman was shouting anti-Semitic abuse. His name is Robert Bowers, is 46-year-old and was charged late Saturday on 29 criminal counts, including 11 federal hate-crime charges. We talked about the massacre with the journalist Giampiero Gramaglia.
