Moving to a new country can affect deeply the way we perceive ourselves and the way we are perceived by others.


Ernesto Livorni is Professor of Italian Language and Literature, Comparative Literature and Religious Studies, at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. At the recent Diaspore Italiane conference in New York he presented a paper titled “Motherland, Fatherland, Homeland: the paradigmatic trajectory of crossing national identities”.
