The dispute over immigration escalated in Germany, so that the Government stability wobbled.
Following Angela Merkel's refusal to change the migration policy in Germany, the Interior Minister, Horst Seehofer, has offered his resignation. He proposed to step down from the cabinet and as leader of the Christian Social Union on Sunday. The stability of the German Government seemed to be dangerously shaking in the last days. But, after last-minute talks, a new agreement was made between the Coalition parties including the decision of making new rules on migration that can possibly change forever the destiny of migrants and asylum seekers in Europe and Italy above all.
