Refugees and migrants crisis in the Mediterranean: Salvini made his point.

Over the weekend two new tragedies hit the Mediterranean area: more than 50 migrants on boats directed to Europe were killed off the coasts of Turkey and Tunisia. In the mean time, the new Minister of the Internal Affairs, Matteo Salvini, had some discussions on the issues of immigration and refugee reception in Italy.

This happened on the eve of the meeting of the Council of EU Ministers of Internal Affairs who will discuss about the management of migration flows. We spoke about it with Matteo Villa, researcher at the Institute for International Political Studies (ISPI) in Milan.
