A year after the referendum on independence, about three million Iraqi Kurds returned to the polls a few days ago. This time not to revive a possible separation from Iraq, but to decide their representatives in the Parliament of their autonomous region.
The Democratic Party of Kurdistan (KDP), led by Massoud Barzani, was the clear winner.
