In Australia today is a Thursday 15 August, but in Italy is Ferragosto, the biggest summer holiday of the year. All those who can (almost everyone), leave the city (and job) to escape to a relaxing spot (if you can find it) under beach umbrella - or in the countryside or in the mountains - under a tree. Factories are closed, shops prefer to display the sign "closed for holidays". Restaurants do the same.
