Navigating the law divide

Many of us have heard a conversation like: there’s a house in Italy that belonged to my family, but now that my parents are gone, my brothers don’t want to share with me.

Sooner or later many of us who live in Australia will face these problems which are made even more difficult to solve due to the distance and the differences between the laws of the two countries. We spoke with Chiara Becattini, a lawyer both in Italy and in Australia who works for the law firm William Roberts Lawyers, who specialises in these sometimes obscure and contradictory aspects of the relevant laws.
