Federation Square is not only Melbourne's main square but also one of its most recognisable sites. Attilio Terragni is one of the architects who 20 years ago won the competition to plan the square, which now hosts among others our SBS studios. However when he left Australia 17 years ago there was only the bare structure of the square. Only a few days ago he has visited the completed project, and we have caught up with hime for the occasion.
Attilio Terragni is in Melbourne for the opening of the exhibition "A Modernity Different From All Others: Giuseppe Terragni in Rome", dedicated to his great uncle, Giuseppe Terragni: born in Meda in 1904 and died in Como in 1943, he is considered the most famous representative of Italian rationalism.
