The composition of the Senate is more uncertain than ever following the announcement of a possible appeal to the High Court on the legality of the election of two senators: Family First's Bob Day and One Nation's Rod Culleton. In Day's case this could lead to a recount of votes in the Senate in South Australia and there is no certainty that his replacement will be of the same political party.
