Sergio Marchionne, former Fiat Chrysler CEO, dies

The former CEO of Fiat Chrysler and architect of the automaker’s dramatic turnaround died in Zurich.


Sergio Marchionne died on Wednesday (July, 25) at a Zurich hospital. A controversial figure, he will be remembered as the entrepreneur who saved Fiat from bankruptcy and transformed it into the seventh world automobile group.

Meanwhile, on the same day of the his death, the new CEO of the Fiat Chrysler group, Mike Manley, made his debut in front of the financial community with the presentation of quarterly accounts. Carlo Fusi has more.
