The Italian Cultural Institute in Melbourne will show the documentary "Maestro" by Alexandre Valenti to mark International Holocaust Remembrance Day.
The film "Maestro" tells the story of musician and composer Francesco Lotoro who has been researching for 20 years the music composed in concentration camps during WW2. The Italian Cultural Institute in Melbourne will show the documentary with an introduction by Dr Alessandro Carrieri and Dr Mirna Cicioni, Honorary Research Associate at Monash University, who has dedicated part of her research career to the Shoah and the Italian writer Primo Levi.
The documentary will be shown on Sunday 4 February from 3pm. The event will be in English.
