The smoking age is the minimum legal age required to purchase or smoke tobacco products.


According to billionaire mining magnate Andrew Forrest Australians should not be able to purchase cigarettes until age 21, to avoid young people getting hooked to an unhealthy habit which is hard to break. We asked our listeners what they thought of this proposal.
