Stolen Degas painting found on a bus

'None of the passengers claimed the suitcase during the search' said French Culture Ministry.


The famous painting 'Les Choristes' by French painter Edgar Degas, was stolen 9 yeras ago from the Musee Cantini in Marseille. French customs have recently discovered the painting by Degas, in a suitcase on a bus during a routine check. Art expert Andrea Candiani has some doubts on the dynamics of the facts.
