The "eternal" Duke of Mantua returns to Sydney

Italian tenor Gianluca Terranova is back in Australia to perform the infamous Duke of Mantua in Elijah Moshinsky's production of Rigoletto.

Although Giuseppe Verdi and librettist Francesco Maria Piave wrote Rigoletto between 1850 and 1851, the Duke's use of power to enjoy the pleasure of women has regrettably still not been eradicated from our society.
