Tributes and messages of condolences continue to come from heads of state and government around the world to the memory of former UN secretary general, Kofi Annan, who died in Switzerland at the age of 80 on August 18th.
Annan, who in 2001, together with the UN, had received the Nobel Peace Prize, has been called "the moral voice of the world". Federico Marcon, a former UN official who knew him personally, talks about Annan’s virtues and the moral and political legacy.
