The world of Opera can enjoy another masterpiece written by one of the great Italian composers in 1839 and that will be staged for the first time ever in 2018.
Gaetano Donizetti's opera L'Ange de Nisida (The Angel of Nisida), composed in 1839 and considered lost, will premiere in London in July for the first time thanks to an extensive and painstaking reserach by Italian musicologist Dr. Candida Mantica that took almost ten years. In this interview Dr. Mantica talks about the long process that allowed her to re-assemble the score and bring Donizetti's opera back to life.
