He arrived in Australia at the end of 2014 after trying in vain to carve out a career in Italy and, just before the changes made last year by the federal government, he was offered a sponsorship with a 457 visa by a winery in Mildura, a rural town on the border between Victoria and NSW where he now lives and works.

This week our segment on the new Italian immigration to Australia features 29-year-old Roman-born Marco Sollazzo. Marco has a degree in food technology with a specialization in viticulture and oenology. He then obtained a second specialist degree in viticultural and oenological sciences. In other words, he is a wine expert!
