Hayato Sumino is a Japanese pianist out of the ordinary. He graduated from the Univerisity of Tokyo, which is Harvard-equivalent in Japan. Mr Sumino's YouTube channel attracts 1.25 million subscribers.

Mr Sumino started playing the piano at the age of three. Unlike most professional pianists, he didn't go to a music college. Instead, he studied science and engineering at the University of Tokyo Graduate School of Information Science and Technology.

Mr Sumino also started his YouTube channel under the name of Cateen, when he was a junior-high school student, just as a hobby. Now in his 20s, Mr Sumino thinks his YouTube channel became something he finds his identity within.

In the audio, Mr Sumino talks about his music, his YouTube channel, and his upcoming first concert in Australia in November.
