While Kei Nishikori had to retire from the quarterfinal match against Novak Djokovic last night, Naomi Osaka is steadily winning every match of the Australian Open so far. She has become the first ever Japanese to reach the Australian Open final after beating Czech Karolina Pliskova.
Osaka started off well and wins the first set 2-6. During the second set, Pliskova started to go slightly forward and became more aggressive, winning the set, 6-4. The third and final set, though Osaka has made several unforced errors, she has won the set 4-6.

Osaka made it to the Final at grand slam, second time in a row. If she wins this tournament, she would become the first female to win two consecutive grand slams after Serena Williams back in 1994.
