Japanese Glass artist has been selected as Finalist of The Tom Malone Prize, a highly respected glass art competition

The Tom Malone Prize is a highly respected as a national glass art competition in Australia.

This year the competition has shortlisted 13 artists. One of them is Ayano Yoshizumi, glass artist in Adelade.

Her work is made using the method of blowing and using mould.

She is looked the work as 'three dimensional canvas' and create the original world 'within' and 'outside'.

In the interview, she told us what made her glass artist, the difference of glass art world between Japan and Australia.

Tom Malone Prize Exhibition is held from 29th May to 19th July at The Art Gallery of WA.
