Naomi Osaka, ranked No.1 of womens singles ranking since the epic win of the Australian Open in Melbourne last January, is soon set to touch down at BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, California this week.
Draws are set for womens and mens singles for this year's BNP Paribas Open also known as Indian Wells Masters. BNP Paribas as well as Miami Open which is also held this month is considered as "the fifth Grand Slam."
The defending champion Naomi Osaka, the top seed kicks off this year's tournament by playing against either China's Zheng Saisai or France's Kristina Mladenovic. Osaka has recently lost against Mladenovic at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships in February.
Osaka aims to defend a title at Indian Wells with her new head coach, Jermaine Jenkins.
Kei Nishikori, 6th seed, is set to play either America's Tennys Sandgren or France's Adrian Mannarino.
