Couldn’t be happier to see “Shintaro” make two countries closer – Koichi Ose

Koichi Ose, the Japanese actor who played the role of Shintaro in the popular Japanese TV series called The Samurai which was aired in Australia during the 1960s, visited Sydney for the first time in 50 years to greet his Aussie fans. The TV series is said to have triggered the global Ninja boom. Koichi said that he was thankful for the long-standing support from his Aussie fans and that becoming the bridge between Japan and Australia by playing the role of Shintaro is one of the highlights of his career. His visit was collaborated with Iga city in Japan. Iga city is well known as the birthplace of the popular Iga Ninjas. Hanae Fukui of the Iga Ueno Tourist Association shares her insights in to how to explore the area.
