Mami, the Chief Curator of the Mori Art Museum in Tokyo, was appointed in 2016 as the Artistic Director of the 21st Biennale of Sydney in 2018 and has spent 20 months preparing for this prominent event.  This year’s Biennale of Sydney is being held at 7 locations ranging from the Art Gallery of NSW to Cockatoo Island.

Mami tells us about her “toughest and roller-coaster journey” in her professional career over the last 20 months and also encourages us to visit all seven Biennale venues and see the connections and contrast between the artworks.
