After she started to volunteer she realized quite a few people obtain pets before they think of the consequences.

As a foster family, she is assessing the people who are thinking about adopting abandoned pets.

Her checklist below, is useful for someone who is planning to own a pet.

  • You are NOT a temporary visa holder or visitor
  • You have owned a pet previously
  • Your children can control their emotions
  • You can assure you live in a safe house suitable for keeping cat.

She said in the interview, you can start to be a foster care volunteer even if you don't have the experience of a pet owner or you are a temporary visa holder.

During COVID-19 lockdown, many people obtained a pet for companionship. Now that many people are returning back to normal life, pet rescues are worrying about pets being abandoned.
