An emerging international artist/a former illustrator at Chanel Paris, Takako Osawa is holding exhibition My Chanel Collection at the Alliance Française de Melbourne, St Kilda till March 21, 2019.


"My Chanel Collection" represents hand-stitched recycled plastic sequin artworks and drawings by Takako Osawa. Takako referred 5 of the Chanel's most well-known styles such as a shoulder bag, beige and black high heels and a jacket and created her art work with embroidery, painting and drawing. 

Takako has studied fashion design in Paris at Studio Berçot and worked at Chanel in Paris as an illustrator for 9 years before moving to Melbourne in 2012. Takako shares her memory of working with a fashion icon and former artistic designer, Karl Lagerfeld, who passed away in February this year.
