The United Nations climate summit in Glasgow is fast approaching, and while Prime Minister Scott Morrison has now confirmed he'll attend, it's still unclear whether he will commit Australia to net zero by 2050.


What is known is that fossil fuels will be major theme of the COP-26 conference, and that Australia's reliance on coal is likely to be scrutinised.

But what would a potential a phase-down of the industry do to coal-mining towns, like Singleton in the New South Wales Hunter region?
