Many Palestinian refugees flee to Egypt for various reasons, however as the nation considers them illegal immigrants, they are not allowed to work or attend schools.
Mr. Shirai organises art therapy sessions for the Palestinian refugee children in Egypt to provide them an opportunity to express themselves to heal.

Some kids are unable to speak due to emotional traumas, but they still love to draw.

One boy painted the entire paper in black. When asked why, he answered "this is how Gaza looks. It's all black."

Mr. Shirai has also organised exhibitions of these artworks in order to raise awareness of the situations. Recently he has also compiled these paintings into charity books.
