Jinnosuke Kokoroya, a Japan-based counselor who developed his own method 12 years ago, points out how easy it is for hard-working Japanese people to fall into a trap of self-criticism.

Jinnosuke used to work for a Japanese logistics company and worked so hard that his family fell apart.

Being left alone and on the quest for the reason why things went wrong, Jinnosuke realised how much he was tied to the idea that he has to give his best all the time especially at work.

Being hardworking is considered to be one of the virtues in Japan and the word is commonly used to describe the Japanese.  But Jinnosuke thinks that 'worshipping' hardworking-ness in Japan went too far and encourages people who have issues to start living a life for themselves.
