A poignant and beautiful aria that expresses the feelings of a heroine who has just lost her beloved on the battlefield. Ayako Ohtake, a Sydney-based Japanese soprano singer, hosts monthly music segment called VIVA! Opera for SBS Japanese. With Anzac Day coming up next week, Ms Ohtake picked ’Tristes apprêts’ from ’Castor et Pollux’ composed by J. P. Rameau.
