Film Director Kosai Sekine's debut feature film, "Love At Least" was screened as part of Japanese Film Festival 2018 on 24th November at Australian Centre for Moving Image (ACMI) in Melbourne. Kosai was invited specifically to this screening in Melbourne and held Q&A afterwards.
"We all have something that we don't want to share with anyone and hide in our heart. But shouldn't we just speak up. Isn't it important to do so in order to survive in the world we live" said Kosai Sekine. The heroin Yasuko suffers from hypersomnia. A simple act of getting out of bed seems impossible for her. She tries to work at a local cafe, but she struggles. Far from a romantic love story that we can easily imagine, this film depicts human connections in the deeper level.
The story "Love At Least" was originally written by a Japanese writer, Yukiko Motoya.
