Kota won first place in the GIO Oz Day 10K in 2015, beating the local hero Kurt Fernley.  This year, Tomoki Suzuki , a young Japanese up-and-coming contender, won first place.  Kurt came in 2nd place and Kota came in 4th.

Kota tells us how he started wheelchair racing and how he ended up representing Japan as he has only been trying to succeed in the small tasks in front of him one by one.
