Pianist Maki Ono

Japanese Pianist, Maki Ono visits Melbourne to hold a joint recital at Melbourne Recital Centre, Southbank with Isin Cakmakcioglu, a violinist at Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.

Maki has played the piano extensively in Europe after graduating from Kunitachi College of Music and Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber in Germany. She is currently based in Japan, carrying out recitals around Europe, the United States and South Korea.

She has held several duo recitals with Isin in New York and Tokyo. Their next duo recital will be at Melbourne Recital Centre. They will perform Percy Grainger, an Australian composer's Mock Morris and Molly on the Shore as well as Schumann and Debussy.
