Yu Sasaki, chef and owner of Sasaki, one of the most sought-after Japanese restaurants in Sydney, produced a short film to showcase the craftsmanship from the Sanin region of Japan.
Yu has been showcasing the food and craft from his home prefecture, Shimane at his restaurant. However Yu thinks that offering the Sanin food and crafts at his restaurant is not enough.
The short film titled “Sanin <>Sydney” is going to be screened at the Japanese Film Festival in Sydney. In the interview, Yu explains how he got involved in the film's production and shares the messages he would like to deliver through the film and his restaurant.
