Socceroos set to seize control of sporting story

Australia’s all-time leading male goal scorer Tim Cahill says it’s time for the Socceroos to create another special moment in the nation’s football history. The side faces face Peru next Tuesday morning in Qatar for a spot in this year’s FIFA World Cup.


The Socceroos enjoyed a day off after defeating the United Arab Emirates but preparations are now in full swing for their date with destiny against Peru.

The reality that awaits the Socceroos if they defeat Peru on Tuesday morning is Al Janoub Stadium. It is where they’ll play all three matches against France, Denmark and Tunisia.
