Experts say more steps need to be taken to protect the health data of Australians, following the Medibank hack.
It comes as new laws pass parliament increasing the maximum fine for serious data breaches to $50 million dollars.
The Australian Digital Health Agency - which manages My Health Record - says a new review of the cybersecurity risks was conducted after the recent Medibank hack, the Optus breach in September, and the Medicare exposure in 2020.
