Some of Akira's designs are now shown at a special exhibition at the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney.  The exhibition covers his 25 years plus career as a fashion designer.

During the interview, Akira told that preparing for the exhibition was a good opportunity for him to take another look at his past achievements and it helped him decide to let go of his past works by donating them to museums across Australia.

Also, Akira will attend SCCI Fashion Hub's talk event titled Japanese Fashion as one of the guest speakers this month in Sydney.  He will discuss how his designs are influenced by the Japanese culture.
