US investors rattled as indexes plunge

A worse than expected inflation report in the United States has caused turmoil on world stock markets- and a political problem for US president Joe Biden.


The timing could hardly have been worse for U-S president Joe Biden.

At the White House, he was celebrating the passage of the legislation known as the Inflation Reduction Act.

It addresses climate change and prescription drug prices.

Mr Biden touted how it will make life better for average Americans.
