What we have on stage are 'curious ears' and 'a body as zero,' Akio Suzuki and Hiromi Miyakita

Akio Suzuki is a pioneer of Japanese sound artists. He is in his 80s and has been appearing on stage around the world for more than 40 years. Hiromi Miyakita is a Japanese dancer and artist. Both of them were invited to perform in Sydney last month.

Mr Suzuki and Ms Miyakita were invited to perform for the Volume festival at the Art Gallery of New South Wales in October 2023.

In the audio, Mr Suzuki and Ms Miyakita talk about each other as an artist, about the newly opened the North Buiiding at the Art Gallery of NSW, and their improvisational stage.
