Hitoshi Ichijo, a young social worker from Fukushima, will open a pay-it-forward cafe in Sydney just for one day. Broadcast on the 26th of November, 2019.

Hitoshi was selected as a participant for this year's JCS Rainbow Project, a support program run by the Japan Club of Sydney (JCS) for young people from areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011.

JCS has been running the program since 2011.  Hitoshi is invited to stay in Sydney for two months for this program and is required to put his project ideas into action.

One of his ideas is to open a pay-it-forward cafe in Sydney.

In the audio, Hitoshi tells us what made him apply for the support program and explains what he would like to do during his stay in Sydney.  Hitoshi also tells us why he picked a pay-it-forward cafe as one of his projects in Sydney.
