Australian tribunal overwhelmed with migrant, refugee requests

A tribunal that reviews government decisions has been swamped with an unprecedented number of applications, overwhelmingly from migrants and refugees.

"These types of applications are now at record levels and have more than doubled in the past three years," Sian Leathem told a Senate estimates hearing on Tuesday.
