Korean gay men, Sangwoo Lee and David Han tell SBS Korean that it is hard to come out in Australia's tight-knit Korean community in Australia as it can be quite conservative.


Ever since Australia legalised same-sex marriage on December 9, 2017, it is believed more than 6,000 couples from around the country have tied the knot according to ABC's report.

Many people have been embracing same-sex marriage but, the situation in Korean communities in Australia has not been changed much.

Those who have LGBTQI background still live in shadows.

Last year, SBS Korean program reported about 'How has the legalisation of same-sex marriage affected LGBTQ of Korean background?' by interviewing Korean gay men.
