How bad is the air quality in Sydney as a result of the fires?

Experts warn that there is a lot of air pollution due to the heat as Sydney goes through some high temperatures.


According to Dr Richard Broome from NSW Health, the poor air quality presents an extra risk to those with respiratory conditions, especially those with heart, lung and asthma problems.

The poor air quality in Sydney and its surroundings has created concerns for those with respiratory condition.

"To best avoid smoke, stay indoors with windows and doors closed and not undertake outdoor exercise," Dr Broome said.
