New research shows 2 in 5 young Australians experience loneliness

Recent research indicates that 40% of young Australians (2 in 5) experience feelings of loneliness. Associate Professor Michelle Lim, the CEO and Scientific Chair of Ending Loneliness Together, states that persistent loneliness represents a considerable challenge. Nevertheless, studies show that young people who interact with friends or family at least once a week are three times less likely to experience loneliness. Loneliness Awareness Week 4-10 August.
