PhD students seek response to student visa applications after lengthy delays

Almost 300 Iranian PhD students are lobbying the federal government for responses to their student visa applications after receiving scholarships to Australian universities. Many have been waiting a year, on average, without any response, with academics warning Australia risks losing out on crucial research.
