The Darling Beast creates to empower the voiceless

Raz Xaidan was only known as The Darling Beast until recently, which is a name driven from a very negative childhood memories. " I was called a beast for my thick hair and eyebrows as a child" she recalls being bullied.


Now she has claimed that negative name-calling and turned it into the tittle for her creations and success. In this interview with The Darling Beast (Raz Xaidan), we ask her about her unique style of art, including photography, drawings, poetry and graphic design. 

Raz's work will be exhibited in Jiyan Fringe in Melbourne this weekend.  

Raz Xaidan is based in Kurdistan's capital Hewler/Erbil, however she was born in Sweden and raised in the UK.
