Human-rights groups have called for senior Myanmar military chiefs to be prosecuted for crimes against humanity after an Amnesty International investigation into the treatment of minority Rohingya ((ro-HIN-g'yuh)) in northern Rakhine ((ruh-HINE)) state. In its report, Amnesty has taken the rare step of naming 13 officials, including the general commanding Myanmar's forces, it says played a key role in the murder, rape and deportation of Rohingya. Australia has also been urged to cut its financial ties with the Myanmar military.
