The Thai National Energy Policy Committee has approved a construction of an 800 MW coal power station in Krabi province. Krabi has pristine beaches and a destination for tourists. Several hundred Thai demonstrators stage a sit-in at the gate of the Thai Prime Minster. Southern Thailand is in short supply of electricity. Khamleck Thongvilu.
