Will There Be Lao Refugee History Teaching in The US? (ໃນ​ສະ​ຫະ​ຣັດ​ຈະ​ມີ​ສອນ​ພົງ​ສາ​ວະ​ດານ​ອົ​ພ​ຍົບ​ລາວບໍ່?)

Under the SB 895 (Senate Bill 895) Vietnamese, Cambodian and Hmong refugees’ histories will be taught in Californian primary and secondary schools but not Lao. Californian Lao community is trying to stop the bill at the moment as it is in the hand the California Governor to become a law now. If it became a law, a bill to include the Lao would be introduced to the Californian parliament in 2019. The Lao are not too sure of what is going to happen in 2019. It wants SB 895 rejected by claiming it is an incomplete bill as it must include Lao as Indo-China refugees in the US also came from Laos. Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam were all in the Vietnam War.
