85 years since the birth of the great Macedonian author Petre M. Andreevski

On the occasion of the 85th anniversary of the birth of Petre M. Andreevski, we remember the author who created one of the most powerful literary metaphors for the Macedonian people, comparing it with the indestructible couch grass, Pirey. Four decades after creating his extraordinary works, the novel "Pirej" and the poetry collection "Denizia", Andreevski's popularity has not diminished. He was born on June 25, 1934, in the village of Slojstica, Demir Hisar, where he also died on September 25, 2006.
